Yield: 12 servings
INGREDIENTS:
1 lb. Ground Pork
1/3 Cup Brushfire Farms Prickly Pear BBQ Sauce
1 Tbsp. yellow mustard
1 chopped Poblano pepper
½ Red Onion, chopped
¼ Cup Texas beer (nothing hoppy)
1 pack of King’s Hawaiian Sweet Rolls (any slider or burger buns will work too!)
1 Tbsp. Meat Church Gospel seasoning
1 Tbsp. Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Melted butter (optional)
Sesame Seeds (optional)
Fine chopped fresh Parsley (optional)
PROCESS:
Step 1: Preheat oven to 350°. In some olive oil, sauté vegetables in a skillet set to medium high heat. As they soften, mix in the ground pork, seasoning, and continue to cook.
Step 2: Deglaze with beer, reduce heat and then add mustard and Prickly Pear BBQ Sauce. Mix together, simmer for 5 minutes and season to taste.
Step 3: With a large serrated bread knife, slice the King’s Hawaiian Rolls in half, while keeping them all together. Place on foil-lined baking sheet and brush with melted butter and then sprinkle sesame seeds on top. Bake for 5 minutes.
Step 4: Remove from oven, garnish with fine chopped parsley, pull sliders apart and enjoy!
