Total Cook Time: 8 – 15 minutes
Total Time: Under 45 minutes
Yield: 8 servings
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 lb. Ground Beef, source from your local meat market, if possible!
- Brushfire Farms Prickly Pear BBQ Sauce
- Brushfire Farms Prickly Pear Pepper Jam
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire Sauce
- 2 Tbsp. Bolner’s Fiesta Spices Uncle Chris’ Gourmet Steak Seasoning (or your favorite seasoning)
- 2 oz. Crispy Fried Onions (French’s is a good brand for these)
- 8 Sweet Hawaiian Slider Buns (Pepperidge Farms makes a great one)
- 8 slices of Sharp Cheddar Cheese, 1/8” inch thick and only big enough to cover patties.
- Sliced Dill Pickles for burgers
PROCESS:
Step 1: Preheat grill to 350 F°. Plan to cook sliders over direct flame and pull them away from open flame in case the fire flairs up (which will most likely happen).
Step 2: In a mixing bowl, combine beef, Worcestershire and 1 Tbsp. of seasoning. Mix together well and then form eight 2 oz. balls of mixture. Flatten them to a ¼” thickness and lightly sprinkle both sides with seasoning.
Step 3: Cook slider patties over direct flame on grill. Aim for 3-4 minutes on first side, be ready to move them away from direct heat if flames flair up. Flip patties and place cheese slice on top of cooked side. Close grill lid and allow cheese to melt for a few minutes. For medium done, pull sliders once internal temperature reaches 145 F° and for well-done, cook to internal temp of 160 F°. Once cooked to your liking, remove from grill and toast slider buns.
Step 4: Spread ½ Tbsp. Prickly Pear Pepper Jam on bottom bun, then place crispy fried onions on top of bottom bun, followed by slider patty on top of that, then 2-3 sliced dill pickles, and 1 tsp. of Prickly Pear BBQ Sauce. Put a cocktail toothpick through each slider to hold them together before serving and enjoy!
